Urban Safari Rescue Society was conceived from Cinemazoo
Animal Agency, which has been operating since 1988. In 2007 Gary Oliver
realized it was more important to educate people and conserve animals in this
changing world. So he began Urban Safari.
Urban Safari Rescue
Society is dedicated
to the rescue, care and maintenance of exotic and other animals, and to
provide education through lectures, in-house courses and outreach programs for
adults and children, using exotic animals rescued from the pet trade industry,
illegal breeders, smugglers, and with those animals who have been abandoned or
neglected.
2010 promises to
be another tough year for Urban Safari Rescue Society.
In the first part of the year we took in many unwanted animals, doubling the
amount of animals we have at the rescue society today. Because of this we have
had to put out numerous costs for feeding and care.
Now due to rising costs, the economy and other
occurrences we are struggling to keep giving the kind of care these animals
need.
We would like to continue to educate people on these animals
and their proper place on this planet but donations are needed to give these
unwanted animals the food, care and shelter they deserve.
So we are sending out a heart felt plea for donations of any
kind whether it, be money or products, such as food, water bottles, cages,
office equipment or supplies, land Etc.
Every donation will be greatly appreciated and will receive a
tax receipt for your generosity.
Please find it in your heart to donate now and make a
difference, so we can continue to provide for these unwanted animals, and
education for our children and their future.
Our goal is to develop a facility dedicated to education for
future generation and preservation of wildlife worldwide.

Recent Media Coverage of
Urban Safari Rescue Society
Formerly our work was carried out by
Cinemazoo Animal Agency. After registering ourselves as a Registered
Charity, non-profit agency, under Urban Safari Rescue Society in 2007, we are
pleased to be able to expand on and continue our efforts.
As we are newly created, our media coverage will include events under
Cinemazoo. Watch for our own media coverage over this next year as we
become more visible in the Lower Mainland under the new name!
- E-mail: From staff regarding a classroom presentation done in
May 2008, "...(this) boy is not a communicator, and does not get any joy out
of school at all... This is a Big Deal!" and from the parent "(the boy) told
me all sorts of interesting things all the way home - he hasn't told me so
much about a day at school ever... in 3 years!!!
