you will find the information you are seeking, however if you do not find ,

Q. When was Urban Safari Rescue Society founded?
A. In 2007, by a Board of Directors including Gary Oliver, Susan Stranges,
Yuki Chippendale, Jean Fox and Len Goosen.
Q. What is the connection with Cinemazoo Animal Agency?
A. Gary Oliver started this agency in 1985 and since then has rescued
numerous animals, provided work in film, tv and print ads for pets and rescued
animals, and worked diligently to educate the public and create awareness of the
issues around exotic animal ownership and care.
Q. Where do most or the animals come from?
A. Our new animals come mostly from rescues and donations. Our
opening library of animals were donated by Cinemazoo.
Q. Where do we get the meat and produce that is fed to the animals in
our care?
A. Further to our comment above, we get meat, poultry, fish, produce and
other required nutritional requirements from local businesses and distributors.
Q. Do you breed your animals?
A. Not at this time.
Q. What do you say to those opposed to wild animals being kept in
captivity?
A. We remind them that the animals we house are 'rescues', animals
originally purchased as pets and given to us because the owners can no longer
handle them. Releasing them to their natural habitats without the training
they would have received naturally in the wild would be a death sentence for
them. These animals are given a 'new lease' on life by being in our care.
As many natural habitats are quickly shrinking, national parks and animal
sanctuaries are increasing worldwide. Whenever possible, we release
animals to these protected reserves.
Q. We would like to help support the efforts of Urban Safari Rescue
Society, how can we do this?
A. We have need for many tools, gardening utensils, cleaning supplies, pet
carriers, aquariums, kitty litter boxes, blankets, towels, etc. Please see
our Wish List for more details. Donations in kind or in cash are
gratefully accepted. Call us at 604 299 6963.
